Temping with Joyce Guiness: Professional Temporary admin Jobs in London
Stay in touch about your availability
To help us find the right temporary assignments for you, please contact Joyce Guiness every Thursday with your availability for the following week, including any holidays or appointments. Make sure we have the best number to reach you on at short notice. If a same-day temporary booking comes in, we may call you before 9am, so please be ready to leave promptly. If you are delayed on the way to an assignment, let us know as soon as possible.
Dress professionally for every assignment
If you are unsure about dress code expectations for a temporary role, check with our team before your first day. In most office environments, smart professional dress is the best choice when starting a new assignment.
Arrive early and manage your time well
We recommend arriving around 10 minutes early for every temporary assignment. We will provide directions and a contact name before you start. If you are running late, call Joyce Guiness straight away so we can update the client. If you need time away from a booking for an interview or another urgent appointment, speak to us first so arrangements can be made.
If you are unwell
If you are unable to attend your temporary assignment because you are unwell, please call Joyce Guiness before 8.30am so we can make alternative arrangements for the client.
Using phones, email and the internet at work
Please avoid making personal calls unless the client has agreed to it. The same applies to personal use of email and the internet during working hours. Keep your mobile phone on silent or switched off, and deal with personal messages during your lunch break where possible.
Submitting your timesheet
Timesheets are available on the Joyce Guiness website. Enter your working hours, including your lunch break, and check that the total payable hours are correct before submitting. Your timesheet must be signed by an authorised member of staff and scanned back to Joyce Guiness by Friday evening. Please note: if we do not receive your timesheet, we cannot process your pay.

When and how you will be paid
Payroll is processed on Tuesday mornings, with payment usually reaching your bank account by Thursday. You will receive a payslip by email showing your hourly rate and weekly pay, which is paid in arrears.
If you have any questions about temporary work, timesheets or pay, please contact Pip Cox or your consultant on 0207 589 8807, or email info@joyceguiness.co.uk
