Executive Assistant to CPO
- Requirement: Sector experience or familiarity in intellectually demanding environment advantageous
- Salary: £50-60k
- Industry: Life Science
- Location: Central London

A leading life sciences organisation is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support its Chief People Officer. This is a role for someone who thrives without a script: highly proactive, emotionally intelligent, and sharp enough to be ten steps ahead at all times. The ideal candidate will read the room instinctively, knowing when to seek clarification and when to press ahead, with a genuine hunger to excel as a senior EA.
This role is about enabling the CPO to operate at their best. The successful candidate will manage a complex diary and ensure alignment with Board and Committee priorities, joining the dots between strategy and execution.
This is a structured, corporate environment with a senior leadership team that values discretion, precision, and professionalism, and a highly intelligent workforce drawn largely from scientific and academic backgrounds. Sector experience or familiarity with a similarly complex, intellectually demanding environment will be an advantage.
Above all, the organisation is looking for someone with sound judgement, integrity, and the confidence to act decisively and independently. If you are a driven, astute EA who takes real pride in your craft, this is a compelling opportunity to make a significant impact at a senior level.
Based: hybrid, 4 days in the office, 1 WFH

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Proactively managing the CPO's diary, ensuring time is aligned to strategic priorities
- Overseeing the CPO's inbox, drafting responses and flagging urgent matters
- Ensuring strong connectivity between the CPO's diary, People Leadership Team agendas, and Board and governance forums
- Preparing and coordinating high-quality documentation for all key meetings
- Acting as a central coordination point across the People function, tracking progress and key themes, risks, and insights to support decision-making
- Building trusted relationships with CPO direct reports & senior stakeholders
- Managing key People processes and delivering projects on behalf of the CPO
- Providing general meeting logistics support, including room bookings, visitor management, and event organisation
