The ideal candidate must exhibit strong leadership and management skills, fostering teamwork and client relations. They should have extensive high-level media contacts, particularly in food, drink, hospitality, nightlife, travel, lifestyle, music, art, and culture. Adept at identifying communication opportunities, the candidate excels in creative problem-solving and managing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, organizational efficiency, and flexibility are essential. Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required. Management experience and international press contacts are advantageous.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Dedicate weekly time to establish and strengthen senior-level media relations through in-person meetings.
  • Expand and create new contacts in long-lead, short-lead, consumer media, trade, and influencers for positive coverage company clients.
  • Utilise broad media expertise to secure tier-one features in both broadcast and print.
  • Maintain active involvement in creative communities, focusing on food, drink, travel, art, design, and lifestyle.
  • Oversee and guide mid-level and junior team members, emphasising skill development.
  • Lead line management responsibilities, including setting targets and conducting performance reviews.
  • Identify training needs and contribute to recruitment processes within the team.
  • Champion company values and brand.
  • Strategise, execute and manage national and global media relations campaigns across lifestyle, travel, food, drink, and business media.
  • Develop media outreach strategies and timelines for launches aligned with overall project timelines.
  • Collaborate with Directors and project teams to integrate creative programming into client strategy and ensure successful execution of press, and social media campaigns, events, and collaborations.
  • Oversee media strategy, and account development, and contribute to overall business strategy alongside other directors.
